Website Review
http://www.atthetable.org/
by Stephanie Gundry

Are you interested in getting your students more interested in politics and the government? At the Table is an excellent resource for both teachers and students interested in governmental involvement. At the Table is an online initiative of the Innovation Center for Community and Youth Development. Its goal is to build a national movement for youth participation in governance and decision-making. The website is an online clearinghouse that provides youth involvement advocates and practitioners with opportunities to collaborate.

Resources on the site include a calendar of events and news, online discussion boards, handouts and resource links, an online workroom for youth advocates and practitioners to share information and work together, and online surveys and polls.

If you and your students are looking for a way to become involved with governance, please visit atthetable.org with your students. This site could be an exciting way for students to discover their civic duties and responsibilities.
