Grants for Service-Learning

Constitutional Rights Foundation Service-Learning Mini Grants
by Cynthia Belliveau, Ph.D.

The Constitutional Rights Foundation announces the availability of $500.00 mini grants to support-service learning projects in classrooms across the country. The mini-grant program honors the late Maurice R. "Robbie" Robinson, founder of Scholastic, Inc., a champion of innovative education and a longtime supporter of effective citizenship education. The grants are available for K–12 service-learning projects that address serious community issues, are connected to the curriculum and have a strong youth voice. Applications are available on the CRF web-site, http://www.crf-usa.org/.  The deadline for grant applications is October 18, 2002.
