Diversity Day 2003

The Pennsylvania Service-Learning Alliance at the University of Pittsburgh is pleased to announce that March 31, 2003 will be "Diversity Day!" Diversity Day 2003 will be an exciting opportunity for high school students in the region to meet and learn more about diversity issues that relate to race, gender, disability, nationality and age. Students and teachers will participate in hands-on activities that foster a better understanding of social and educational diversity issues. All students and teachers will be introduced to ways in which diversity can be addressed in schools and communities via service-learning. This will be an important day of youth leadership, sharing and learning!

Diversity Day will begin at 9:00 am and end at 2:00 pm. Lunch will be served and students will receive a free t-shirt for their participation. Teachers will receive Act 48 hours. This event is free for all teachers and high school students that would like to participate. Space is limited to 400 participants (teachers and students), so register soon! Deadline to register is March 23!
