Description/Accomplishments:
This Center offers a myriad of services to the school and community at large.  Students on the Educational Team provide tutoring K-12, work as mentors for students who struggle with attendance or struggle to fit in, participate in team teaching in classes about Service Learning.  Students on the Environmental Team work with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the local Conservation District to study  area stream health, they develop fun lessons in science for elementary students, are working on a recycling project for plastic and paper.  Students on the Leadership Team teach the Build a House of Service model and Ethical Fitness to area schools as they endeavor to begin Service Learning in their schools.  The Human Needs team also work as mentors for students and are trained in co-faciltitation skills so that they may co-facilitate student support groups.  The Center also houses these programs as well as provides extensive information on internships, school to work experiences and post-secondary planning.  The Center is open Wed. evenings for general community interaction.
