Description:
Nancy Peter, Director of the Out-of-School Time Resource Center (OSTRC)
at the University of Pennsylvania will discuss the current activities
and resources made available through the center. The OSTRC aims
to promote out-of-school time student achievement through improved access
to staff resources and effective professional development. This
presentation will review what resources are available through the OSTRC,
how to find resources on the center’s website (www.ssw.upenn.edu/ostrc/),
and will discuss the current research study being conducted by the OSTRC. A
walk-through of the center’s website will help users find what
they need in terms of identifying resources for their programs. Participants
should download the powerpoint presentation, to follow along with during
the conference call. It is also highly recommended that participants
have access to the Internet during the call. The presentation
will include a walk through of the OSTRC web site.
