Description:

Research shows that children whose families are involved:

  • Do better academically.
  • Have lower truancy rates.
  • Enroll in post-secondary education.
  • Increase test scores.
  • Exhibit positive attitudes and behaviors.
  • Graduate!

Learn about the PA Governor's Institute on Parental Involvement. Discuss their goals, their activities, and how to engage schools, families, and community agencies.

Directions:  At the scheduled conference call time, dial 800-917-9796.  Use the participant passcode 307129 then press # to gain access to the conference call.

Presentation: A powerpoint presentation will be developed, to be used in conjunction with the conference call.  Participants are also encouraged to share the powerpoint with additional 21CCLC staff.
