Behavior and Classroom Management

Margit Myers, 21CCLC Coordinator,
Pennsylvania Service-Learning Alliance

Wednesday, July 6th 2pm

Effective classroom and behavior management is critical to a program’s success. Classroom management refers to all of the things teachers do to organize students, space, time and materials to maximize effective teaching and student learning. Research has shown effectively managed classrooms and high student achievement are linked. Behavior management refers to teacher activities designed to promote positive behaviors in students. Self-discipline is the goal of all behavior management. All activities are individualized based on each child's behavioral needs.

In this call we will identify and discuss the objectives of classroom and behavior management. We will also share ideas and resources for your 21st Century sites.
